"National Day" which means the festival of a country appears first in the western Jin dynasty.In the ancient time,the enthronement day and birthday of the emperor are called "National Days".Today National Day refers to the anniversary of the establishment of a country.In September of 1949,October 1st was nominated as the National Day of PRC at the first plenary meeting of Chinese people's political consultative conference.The National Day was declared officially on October 2nd ,1949.Thus October 1st of 1950 was our first National Day.

Wonderful National Holiday
I had a wonderful National holiday last year. My parents took my cousin and me to the beach in Zhu Jiajian. We surfed and caught crabs and built sand sculptures along the beach. I had fun even though the ocean there was not as clear and blue as in Hai Nan and the scenery was not as beautiful either. When I came back home, I did an excellent job on the homework my teacher gave me. That was the end of it. I started to prepare things for school on this coming Monday.All in all, I enjoyed my National Holiday in many ways.
