到我上高中的时候,由于在镇上上学,每天要在这条路上骑车往返四趟.就那几年的功夫,骑坏了两辆崭新的自行车.特别遇上下雨天,简直苦不堪言.为防止泥土塞住自行车的轮子,总是小心翼翼地缓缓行进.要是走到路面破损严重的地方,还得将自行车扛在肩上走.如果再遇上大风,每走一步都很艰难.即使雨过天晴,路面的积水也要等上好几天才能晒干.在大雨后的这几天骑车,一不留神,就会将残留的泥水,溅得满身都是,有时不得不折回去重新换衣服,弄得一整天都没有好心情.
而现在我家门前的那条路,早已变成了水泥路!两旁昔日的小水杉树如今已枝繁叶茂,高耸入云,它们是这条路沧桑变化的最好见证者.何止是我家门前那条路啊!作为一名扬中人我有太多理由为自己家乡自豪.从一桥结束孤岛历史,到二桥插上腾飞双翼,再到泰扬公路大桥的兴建,从整个扬中只有一条几米宽的砂石公路到二车道的柏油马路直到现在村村通公路的完善的农村公路网络.作为改革开放的同龄人,我见证了扬中公路从无到有,从弱到强的发展历程.公路的飞速发展,带来的是老百姓日子的越过越好,我依然清晰的记的,宽敞平整的水泥路通车的那一刻,乡亲们开着私家车直达自家门前的那种兴高采烈、欢欣鼓舞!
路在扬中人心中已不仅仅是用于通行了,而是一种思念,是理想的延伸,是通往未来家园的必经之地.它是那么朴实那么坚强,埋藏了太多的汗水,成就了多少梦想!漫步在那条熟悉而陌生的路上,回忆着过去的点点滴滴,一切都那么清晰生动、那么难以忘怀.我默默祝福脚下这条记录着我成长足迹的路,伴随着扬中人走向富裕的脚步,展得更宽、伸得更远……
